Whitelisting vs. Auto-Approving Affiliates

“Whitelisting” an affiliate is where a vendor has the ability to only allow certain affiliates to promote their product. 

Any other affiliate that attempts to use an affiliate link will find that their link leads to a page that says they are not an authorized affiliate.

Some vendors prefer to vet affiliates themselves. Other vendors are okay with allowing any affiliate to promote their product. This is called auto-approve.

To auto-approve affiliates to promote your offer click the Setup icon:

Under Affiliates click the Settings icon. 

Under General click Auto-Approve Affiliates:

Click Save.

If that button is turned off then affiliates can only promote your product if you approve them.
