Commission Plan Setup
If you are opening your offer to affiliate traffic, it is essential to set up commission plans for you offers.

Setting up a RevShare commission
RevShare is short for “revenue share”, which means the vendor and affiliate both have part of their commission withheld for 180 days to account for any possible refunds or chargebacks that may come in. Typically, RevShare is a percentage on the frontend and a percentage on the backend of a funnel.
First Payment Frontend
This is where you determine the commission structure for every front end sale. It can be a straight percentage (ex: 65%) or a percentage plus a flat rate (ex: 65% + $1)
On every direct sale: front end commission on the initial sale of the main offer.
Level 2-7: tiered commission plans, such as if you refer someone else to this product. These are typically not used.
First Payment Backend
This is where you determine the commission structure for every back end sale. You can have it be set to no commission (0%), same as the first payment, or set a custom.
Recurring Payments
If your offer has a recurring billing option, you can choose to award commissions based off of those recurring payments. Typically, vendors opt for no commissions on recurring payments.
This plan overrides any assigned Commission Plans
Check this ONLY if you want to assign this commission plan to all applicable to all future commissions.
Setting up a CPA Commission Plan
CPA is short for “cost per acquisition”. It is a flat rate paid out to affiliates for each sale. The affiliate is not obligated for an allowance to cover refunds and chargebacks. Vendors should take this into consideration because they will be responsible for all refunds and chargebacks that come in.
Setting up commission as CPL
CPL stands for “cost per lead”. This is a rate paid for every new lead acquired. Though uncommon on BuyGoods, we do have the capability.
